Epilating Agents are functional constituents of products designed to remove unwanted hair mechanically. The materials generally used as epilating agents are waxes or polymeric substances that, when applied to the skin after heating, melting, or other preparation, allow the hair fibers to adhere tightly to them. They are sometimes applied to the skin in the form of tapes. Epilating agents function as adhesives that stick to the hair; when the tape is quickly stripped off the skin, the hair is fractured or pulled from the follicle.
