설명(영) |
These colors, specifically allowed for use in cosmetics in the U.S., include a variety of aromatic compounds such as azo, indigoid, triphenylmethane, anthraquinone, and xanthine dyes. These colors and their usage are subject to an approved color additive petition to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. For the current approved uses, consult the color additive regulations, Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 74 to 82. Based on the relatively complex synthesis of these colors, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has determined that every manufactured batch must be analyzed individually and certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as meeting required purity standards. The listing below includes the abbreviated INCI labeling names for colorants currently allowed for finished cosmetic product labeling. For more information on abbreviated labeling names, see "U.S. Colorants". For the U.S. FDA batch certification names, as well as the EU and Japan counterparts, see, Colorant Cross Index. |
