설명(영) |
Sarcosinates are the derivatives of sarcosine, N-methyl glycine, acylated with a fatty acid chloride. They have the general structure: where RCO- represents a fatty acid radical and where X is either hydrogen (acid form) or a cationic species, such as Na+ or TEA+ (salt form). As a rule, only the salts are water soluble. The Sarcosinates are anionic surfactants used primarily in cosmetic skin cleansing applications. They can be used at pHs slightly lower than those of the corresponding Soaps. |
